Abacare celebrates one year in RCT
A WELSH care provider is celebrating one year since taking on the care provision in Rhondda Cynon Taf and says it is delivering good levels of care and reaching quotas (November, 2017).
Abacare took on the care contract for the area in 2016 and has employed more than 100 staff since taking over.
Peter Angelides, CEO of the award-winning care company, said: “We’ve been operating with an impeccable reputation for a number of years in Wales and have a good team of highly skilled, experienced and knowledgeable staff.
“In 2016 we were awarded the 10-year framework to provide care in RCT and Merthyr Tydfil and our team of well-trained and professional carers have been working exceptionally hard. I think they deserve a lot of recognition for the role that they are providing within the community and the high levels of care they are giving.
“We even have examples of staff going above and beyond the call of duty and have many notes from service users saying how happy they are with the service we are providing.
“We are doing a lot well and we’re confident that standards are being met by us and that we’re servicing service users correctly, and putting those we’re caring for first.”
Abacare is delivering thousands of calls per day successfully and managing its workload.
Peter added: “We’re continually expanding our team and would love for new kind and caring individuals to join us. We offer a competitive salary, full free training, travel time for walkers and drivers, mileage payments, consistent hours and runs, a refer a friend scheme and national discount scheme for major brands.
“We also offer the Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF), formerly known as National Vocational Qualifications, to all our team members who show commitment, reliability and true passion. We provide a great support network for all of our carers.
“New recruits are given free uniforms, access to national staff discount scheme for all major brands as well as 28 days paid holiday, paid travel between calls and paid mileage.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for a change of career or someone who just fancies a bit of a change. Being a carer is an extremely rewarding job and you get to meet lots of wonderful people too.”
