We’ve won a tender to provide more domiciliary care on Anglesey

We have recently (June, 2018) won a tender to increase our provision of care hours in Anglesey from 700 to 2,000 per week.

The tender was awarded to us by the Isle of Anglesey County Council and Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and will see us continue to provide care services for the next three-to-six-years.

Peter Angelides, our Managing Director, said: “We have delivered care on Anglesey for more than 10 years and to win the tender to provide even more hours reflects the excellent care our staff delivers to people on the island.

“Some staff currently working for other providers on Anglesey will be eligible to transfer over to us and we very much look forward to welcoming them to our team. We’re also looking to take on up to 100 more people as part of our expanding business and will be hosting recruitment open days in due course, however anyone interested in starting their career in care can get in touch now by calling 01248 677919 during office hours or 0345 1632150 anytime, alternatively they can drop into our offices at 9, Ash Court, Parc Menai, Bangor, LL57 4DF.

“We will be covering the eastern side of the island and setting up a new base in Holyhead. Our services will cover from Holyhead across as far as Llangefni and down almost to the southern tip of Anglesey. To find out more about the locations where we can offer great new opportunities please contact us at any time.

“If you are a caring person, with or without experience, we can help you achieve your goals to become an exceptional carer. We offer free, full training, which includes a company induction, first aid, information on dementia, health and safety, food safety, infection control, handling medication and moving and handling service users, with the opportunity to achieve Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF)s.

“New recruits are given free uniforms, access to national staff discount scheme for all major brands as well as 28 days paid holiday, paid travel between calls and paid mileage. We’re also offering FaceTime or Skype interviews to candidates in order to meet the demands of the modern jobseeker. Our view is that busy people wanting a career change can ‘meet’ us via FaceTime or similar applications and find out about the roles we have to offer before coming in to meet us face to face.

“Being a carer is an extremely rewarding job, there is immense job satisfaction as well as opportunities for training and career advancement. The care industry is one of very few that offer long-term career prospects as it is an ever expanding industry due to the ageing population, meaning more and more carers are needed. People have the opportunity to turn care work into a job for life.”
