Scott Renney from Aberdare has followed in his mum’s footsteps and recently (September, 2018) joined our team at our Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT) office as a care giver.
Eighteen-year-old Scott was recommended to us by his mum Debbie Renney as part of our refer a friend scheme.
He said: “I am thrilled to have joined the team at Abacare as a care giver and to follow in my mum’s footsteps. She has always talked about how much of a rewarding job it is and seeing her build a career for herself has been an inspiration. It’s definitely something I want to do and I am looking forward to the many challenges and opportunities this job will bring in the future.”
As part of our on-going recruitment process, we offer £150 to care givers who recommend a friend or family member to work for it.
The person who has been recommended must stay with us and complete three months employment, delivering more than 100 hours of care, in order for the person who recommended them to receive the monetary reward.

If he is as excellent a care giver as his mum, then we know he will go very far in his career with us and we hope he will go on to recommend his own friends as part of the scheme.
