Terri promoted from receptionist to recruiter

Terri Bramfitt from Newtown has recently (October, 2018) been promoted to the role of

Recruitment Administrator.

The 29-year-old, who previously worked as a receptionist at our Newtown branch, will now deal with new candidate enquiries and selecting individuals to go on to the interview process for a care role.

Terri said: “I have been with Abacare since 2015 and

started my career as a carer before going on to work as a receptionist, now I am thrilled to have been promoted even further to Recruitment Administrator.

“In my carer and receptionist roles I dealt with service users and other carers on a day-to-day basis and this has given me a good base and knowledge for working in recruitment. I will be managing candidate enquiries, booking interviews for applicants, applying and chasing references and attending job fairs and open days to encourage other people to join us.”

Since leaving college Terri has worked for us and has gained all her experience in the Newtown office.

In her spare time she enjoys days out with her family.

Dawn Williams, Group HR Consultant at Abacare, said: “We’re thrilled that Terri has been promoted to our recruitment team. She has embraced the role by ensuring that she is a great ambassador for the company, going out into the community to local job centres and forming a good relationship with local advisors.

“She is a testament to anyone out there thinking of joining a care company as she has worked her way up and is really carving a career out for herself.”

We are consistently expanding our team and looking for new carers. Anyone interested in joining the team should get in touch.
