We are offering employees losing jobs following the Triumph Furniture closure in Merthyr Tydfil a lifeline as we are looking for new care staff to start immediately with retraining provided (October, 2019).
This is a great opportunity for those who have found themselves out of work to retrain in another industry and we are hosting interviews during the week commencing October 14 at our Ebbw Vale office.
We are extremely sad to hear that more than 230 jobs will be lost as a result of Triumph Furniture falling into administration. We want to reassure people that work is available for those who would consider re-training in the care industry.
Men and women can apply to help provide the best homecare to the vulnerable and elderly in this community. The skills the team from Triumph have are perfect for a care role and these can be easily transferred.
Recruitment areas and training
We are recruiting new care workers in Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly and Merthyr Tydfil. We offer flexible hours at £8.75 per hour. For drivers we will pay 15p per mile plus travel time.
We’re prepared to offer a fast track care worker training programme to get people into positions as soon as possible. We can only imagine how difficult it must be to suddenly be out of work with bills to pay, households to run and families to look after.
Training includes a company induction, first aid, information on dementia, health and safety, food safety, infection control, handling medication and moving and handling service users. There’s also the opportunity to achieve Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) after the initial three months probationary period.
New recruits are given free uniforms, access to a national staff discount scheme for all major brands and paid holiday.
Being a carer is a highly skilled, professional vocational occupation. Is essential to the fabric of our society. A job for life means people can start by training and work their way up the career ladder.
In today’s changing world of employment, we pride ourselves on being able to offer long-term job security and career prospects.
