Time in the industry: Tracey began her career in care in 1989 as a care worker. She progressed up the ranks and became Abacare’s Registered Manager at its new Flintshire branch in 2019.

She said: “Care work is the most fulfilling role you can take on. Little did I know when I first took on a care job that I would make friends for life in not only my colleagues but also the service users I was looking after and their families and be able to carve out a career for myself, moving up the ranks from carer to now Registered Manager.

“I would wholeheartedly recommend care work to anyone out there who might be looking for a vocation in life. There are not many jobs out there that are as rewarding as care and where you can get so much job satisfaction.”
