Specialism: Kimberley joined us three years ago as a carer and made her way up the ladder to a senior carer and is now a Recruitment Administrator.

In her current role Kimberley pre-screens potential new care workers and if successful, she invites them to the branch for interviews.

Throughout her time with us, she has achieved levels two and three in Health and Social Care and levels two and three in Safeguarding. She also gained a level two qualification in team leadership. She is also a qualified Medication Management Competency Assessor.

The 28-year-old said: “Throughout my time at Abacare I have been able to carve out a real career for myself. I really enjoyed working as a carer out in the field and meeting such fantastic service users and it was great to reach a Senior Carer role. The team were incredibly supportive when I felt the need to make a change into the recruitment side of things.

“I feel that my experience as a carer has been very helpful in my role as a Recruitment Administrator. I know exactly what qualities to look out for in people and always get an inkling if they are going to make a great carer.”
