The benefits of re-ablement care

Alongside respite care, we also offer re-ablement care for anyone who has spent time in hospital and wishes to regain their skills and independence in the comfort of their own home.

Returning to their own home means a person will be in a much more positive frame of mind as they will be surrounded by their own home comforts, re-united with any pets and won’t be restricted to a hospital bed, hospital visiting times and meals.

It’s also great for independence as relying on hospital staff can affect self confidence and the longer they go without being independent, the more likely they are to start believing they are no longer able to cope.

We are able to support you or a loved-one in re-learning and maintaining daily living skills, help develop a range of skills and competencies and use early and intensive interventions within yours or a loved-ones home to help regain abilities and improve on the quality of life.

Nurses and doctors in hospitals are often very strapped for time due to the amount of patients, re-ablement helps alleviate pressure on the health service.– our services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including Bank Holidays. Our carers can offer encouragement and support and become a friendly face and listening ear if needed, helping to end loneliness and isolation that you or a loved-one might feel.
